This website is a resource to help parents teach their children to swim. It is accessible to all. This website displays information for parents as it gives them tools to help them teach their children how to swim. Specific tools include "how to" skills and a basic outline of how to organize a swim lesson. As a lessons provider, I understand lessons are expensive and difficult to schedule for other family activities. Children learn best when they are comfortable. As parents using this website, YOU will have the knowledge and skills to teach your child the basics of how to swim.

My name is Ellie Martin. I am an Ambassador Girl Scout for Troop 744, and I have been involved in Girl Scouts since 2012. I love participating in outdoor activities such as day camp. I am good at leading other teens and working with the younger scouts in a group setting. I have always wanted to earn my Gold Award since I was a Daisy. Previously, for my Silver Award, I held multiple informational meetings about youth swim safety and created a swim safety informational pamphlet. This project inspired me to make a bigger impact to help teach others to swim. Thus, the idea of creating a website for parents to use was started.
I have always loved swimming, and I have been a competitive swimmer since the third grade. I started giving swimming lessons three years ago. With experience, I have learned many skills to adapt my teaching to individuals who have different swimming abilities. I also assist in coaching for my summer swim league.
