EDUCAFIN, otherwise known as the Institution of Finance and Information for Education, is a public decentralized governmental agency that operates within the State of Guanajuato to finance and inform the state’s residents of educational opportunities locally and abroad. It is the mission of EDUCAFIN, based in the city of Leon, to expand the accessibility of educational opportunities and improve the educational trajectory of the state’s residents.
The organization facilitates this by funding programs that develop participants’ aptitude, competencies, and abilities so that they might reach their full potential. It is furthermore, EDUCAFIN’s goal to achieve this through the promotion of social responsibility, sustainable practices, cutting-edge technology, and professional development in order to provide quality service to its beneficiaries.

Since 2017, EDUCAFIN has promoted the Access program as the only strategic actor in Guanajuato that develops students year after year. Currently, Access is made up of 34 of the best students in the State of Guanajuato.
EDUCAFIN graduated 20 high school students in its first edition.
2 students won the Líderes del Mañana scholarship from Tecnológico de Monterrey to study a Bachelor's degree with a 100% scholarship.
3 students won the Talent Guanajuato Capitulo China scholarship to study a Bachelor's degree with a 100% scholarship.
16 students managed to enter public and private universities such as UG, La Salle, UNITEC, Politécnico Nacional, among others.
Access Guanajuato was selected to be part of the International Visitor Leadership Program of the United States Government in March 2020.
Currently, the Access program implements the second edition with 34 students divided into 2 groups, these being selected from a sample of the best young people from educational systems in the State of Guanajuato.
34 High School students from Guanajuato were selected from more than 100 young people studying at the best educational systems.

The following are statistical data on the geographic distribution of Access students. As can be seen, the majority live in the city of León and some others in municipalities surrounding the area.
In addition to geographic distribution, the Access program is 57% female and 42.4% male made up. Most of students are between 15 and 17 years old, studying the first year of the High School.
Our students are talented young people who stand out in the main High School institutions. A great majority study at the Regional High School of San Francisco del Rincón. Despite this, there is an important representation of other educational systems.
