Our Mandate

The Afghan Canadian Academic Scholars Network (ACASN) serves as a vital academic community for Afghan community including the diaspora, refugees, and newly-arrived Afghans in Canada training and with interests in academia and scholarship. ACASN is an interdisciplinary network of academics that aims to develop a supportive environment to empower one another in our academic pursuits as individuals and create a strong, united Afghan-Canadian academic community. Afghans are often underrepresented in Canadian academic circles and we strive to support others to fill this gap.
