Goals

Afghan-Canadian academics are interested in a myriad of research topics; however, we especially encourage and support research on the Afghan-Canadian community by the Afghan-Canadian community. ACASN aims to build a strong network of Afghan academics that is:

• Canada-focused

• Interdisciplinary 

• Focus on underrepresented communities in the Afghan-Canadian diaspora/newly arrived-Afghans

  • Women

  • Queer

  • Ethnic minorities

• Serve to celebrate one another’s academic achievements
