期末演出呈現,將邀請相關劇團團長、導演、策展人欣賞、媒合機會,落實職人夢想!
▍Mission Statement
Cultivation of Versatile Puppet Artists
The course focuses on both "puppet manipulation" and "puppet making" and is supplemented by a lecture course on aesthetics. After completing the full course, students can gain a comprehensive knowledge and understanding of various types of puppetry, and then they can choose to further study in depth in a particular direction of puppetry, such as acting, puppet making, playwriting, directing, or different forms of creative expressions!
Emphasis on Creative Practice
Students in the courses will face various tasks and exercises. Through constant brainstorming with fellow students, they will gradually strengthen their ability to create and execute, and accumulate energy and strength in puppetry!
Guidance for Entry into the Performing Arts Industry
The graduation performance will be presented to leaders of the relevant theatre companies, directors and curators. The Academy will assist in matching internships and job opportunities for the students to realize their dreams as artists!

全方位偶戲職人打造所——偶戲教學系統建構
偶戲於當代劇場不僅是一種演出類別,同時是極為重要之創作元素,可融入各類型的表演藝術中,偶戲更是當代劇場展現跨界、科技藝術,突破真人現場演出想像限制的重要媒介。當今世界劇場界的跨界多元媒材運用潮流,越來越需要在個體表演外,能兼具掌握戲偶或是物件的表演者,在台灣,各領域創作者亦開始對偶戲藝術投以注目,偶戲專業人才的需求隨之攀高,渴望跨域學習偶戲專業的藝術家也逐漸增加。
偶戲職人學校旨在推展完整、豐富的教學內容,以及循序漸進、系統化的教學與教材,為產業培養從業者,讓「偶戲」在國內成為一門受到重視的專業。
大量偶戲教學資源系統化建構,未來將更有利地提供偶戲工作者進行專業修習養成,讓有志創作偶戲者在循序漸進的陪伴與安定的學習環境中,更有利尋找出多元的創作切入。
亞太偶戲創意平台——偶戲人才資料庫建立
偶戲人才養成的系統化建構,也傳承了當代偶戲在台灣一路發展之歷史,在此刻推促多元偶戲創作環境之完善的同時,亦將是促成台灣為亞太偶戲創意平台之重要契機。
為台灣當代偶戲創作培養優秀的創作者,豐富生態網絡,並可讓偶戲創作產業穩定發展,並將建立台灣偶戲創作人才資料庫,持續探討台灣當代偶戲之定位與內涵,與世界當代偶戲劇場潮流接軌,拓展偶戲藝術創作者的交流,建立台灣為偶戲人才培訓的創意平台。
▍Objectives
Cultivation of Versatile Puppet Artists——Constructing An Education System for Puppetry
Puppetry is not only a genre of performance in contemporary theatre, but also an extremely important creative element that can be integrated into all types of performing arts. Puppetry is an important medium for contemporary theatre to demonstrate cross-disciplinary, technological art and to break through the limitations of the imagination of live performances. In Taiwan, creators from various fields have begun to pay attention to the art of puppetry. The demand for puppetry professionals has risen, and the number of artists who aspire to cross-disciplinary study of puppetry has gradually increased.
The International Academy of Puppet Arts aims to develop a complete and rich curriculum, as well as progressive and systematic teaching and educational materials, to train practitioners for the industry and to make "puppetry" a highly regarded profession in Taiwan.
The systematization of a large number of puppetry education resources will be more effective for the professional training and development of puppetry practitioners in the future. It will also allow and accompany those who are interested in creating puppetry to find multiple entry points for their creations in a stable learning environment.
Asia-Pacific Puppetry Creative Platform——Building A Database of Puppetry Talents
The systematic cultivation of puppetry talents has also inherited the history of the development of contemporary puppetry in Taiwan. While promoting the improvement of a diverse creative environment for puppetry, this will also be an important opportunity for Taiwan to become a creative platform for puppetry in the Asia-Pacific region.
We hope to cultivate excellent creators for Taiwan's contemporary puppetry, enrich the ecological network, and stabilize the development of the creative industry of puppetry. We will establish a database of Taiwan's puppetry talents, continue to explore the positioning and connotation of Taiwan's contemporary puppetry, converge with the trend of the world's contemporary puppet theatre, expand the exchange of creators of the puppet arts, and set up a creative platform for the training of Taiwan's talents in the field.
