Privacy Policy — Pip Notes

Academy4Tech operates Pip Notes, a note-taking application with optional Google Drive synchronization.

Information we process

Pip Notes works without an account and stores notes privately on your device by default. Notes can include titles, text, drawings, checklists, colors, reminder dates, and organization settings. We use this information only to provide note-taking features.

Optional Google Drive synchronization

Google Drive sync is off by default. If you choose to connect Google, Pip Notes requests the narrow drive.appdata permission and stores a pip_notes_backup.json backup in your Google Drive hidden app-data folder. Pip Notes cannot view or manage your other Drive files. We do not operate a server that receives or stores synced notes.

Your Google account email, display name, and profile image URL are used only to show the connected account and are stored locally on the device. Google processes Drive information under its own privacy policy.

Data use and sharing

We do not sell, rent, trade, advertise with, or profile your note content. Pip Notes has no advertising, analytics, crash-reporting, or Academy4Tech backend. If you use Android Share, the selected recipient's privacy policy applies.

Permissions and security

Notification permission is requested only for reminders. Internet access is used only for optional Google Drive sync. Text-to-speech runs through Android's device service and the app does not record audio. Drive communication uses HTTPS/TLS; note backups are not additionally end-to-end encrypted.

Deletion

Delete notes in Pip Notes and run Sync to remove them from the cloud backup. Disconnect Google in the Sync tab to revoke future Drive access; this does not delete local notes or the existing cloud backup. You can remove all Pip Notes app data through your Google Account/Drive app-data controls or contact us for help.
