Luca Rimoldi is a senior researcher in Cultural Anthropology at the "Riccardo Massa" Department of Human Sciences for Education of the University of Milan-Bicocca.
Between 2019 and 2021 he was a junior researcher at the Department of Political and Social Sciences of the University of Catania. Between 2014 and 2019 he was a postdoc at the Department of Sociology and Social Research and at the Department of Human Sciences for Education "Riccardo Massa" of the University of Milan-Bicocca. In 2015 he was a postdoctoral researcher at the Center Maurice Halbwachs in Paris thanks to a grant from the Fernand Braudel - IFER incoming (International Fellowships for Experienced Researchers) program of the Fondation Maison des Sciences de l'Homme funded by the European Union.
Since 2008 he has been carrying out research in Italy focusing on social memory, the production of marginalisation, forms of exclusion and smartisation policies in the urban environment. Since 2016 he has been conducting ethnographic research with the workers of the Mbeubeuss landfill (Senegal). He is the author of national and international articles and of the monograph «Lavorare alla Pirelli-Bicocca. Antropologia delle memorie operaie" (2017).
