I am an Assistant Professor in the Economics Department at Trinity University. I am an Applied Microeconomist with research interests in Economic Development, Environment & Development, and Economic History. I also hold an Adjunct Faculty position in the Department of Economics at the University of Victoria (Canada). I received my PhD from the Department of Agriculture, Food and Resource Economics at Michigan State University in 2022.
My research broadly focuses on the following themes:
(1) Causes and consequences of forced migration or conflict.
(2) The impact of historical and contemporary institutions on development.
(3) Environmental externalities in developing countries.
