Perovskite solar cells

The project focuses on addressing two major challenges in the commercialization of perovskite solar cells (PSCs): long-term stability and the high cost of hole-transport layers (HTLs). To overcome these issues, we are going to design a dopant-free HTL with intrinsic electrical advantages and improved durability. By leveraging molecular engineering techniques, we modify a triphenylamine core with fluorinated side arms to develop a novel HTL called FOMePh. This material demonstrates excellent structural and electro-optical properties and outperforms the commonly used doped Spiro-OMeTAD in both efficiency and material consumption. Our work highlights a promising route for cost-effective, stable PSCs suitable for industrial applications.
