About Me

I am Abinash Tripathy. I was a Postdoctoral Research Scientist at ETH Zurich [2018-2022]. I did my PhD at Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore [2014-2018] and M.Tech from Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur [2011-2013]. Received B.Tech in Instrumentation and Electronics Engineering from National Institute of Science and Technology, Orissa in 2011.

Honors and Awards

Received Postdoctoral Research Scientist position in Department of Mechanical and Process Engineering, ETH, Zurich, Switzerland in 2018.

Awarded Career-FIT Marie Curie Postdoctoral Fellowship in 2018 funded by Horizon 2020 and Enterprise Ireland.

Recipient of Newton-Bhabha Fellowship, Department of Bio-Technology Govt. of India and British Council Newton Fund Government of United Kingdom (2016-2017).

Invited to attend Early-career leader’s day at Royal Society of Chemistry, Burlington House, Piccadilly, London, 2nd December 2016.

Recipient of Visvesvaraya PhD. Fellowship, Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, Government of India (2014-2018).

Springer best paper award in ISSS International Conference on Smart Materials, Structures & Systems in 2017.

Best poster presentation award in ICEE International Conference on Emerging Electronics in 2014.

Secured 67^th rank in India in Instrumentation Engineering in Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) - 2011.

Recipient of Institute Silver medal in B.Tech for the best academic record in the graduating class of the department in 2011.

Recipient of Director’s Excellence Award in B.Tech for getting highest score in GATE 2011 in the graduating batch.

Recipient of Governor Award for service in the Bharat Scouts and Guides in 2005.

Presented paper in National Children Science Congress in Bhubaneswar in 2003.

Awarded first prize in Odisha Talent Scholarship Exam in 2002.

Qualified Mathematics Olympiad in 2002.
