Supporting Circles is all about enabling connections—to support friendships and, most importantly, community. We host monthly coffee mornings and online meet-ups, creating safe and welcoming spaces for disabled people to connect with services, community initiatives, and local events.
We aim to tackle isolation and loneliness by bringing people together, fostering friendships, and building strong support networks. Through a non-judgmental and supportive peer group, we help individuals form a circle of resources, friendships, and support that empowers them daily.
Join us and be part of a community that values inclusion, connection, and mutual support!
Supporting Circles takes place across South Birmingham, offering welcoming and inclusive meet-ups for disabled people. Our events are usually held in local cafés or hired community rooms, creating a relaxed environment to connect and socialize. Occasionally, we plan outings to venues like bowling alleys, pubs, or other local attractions—when this happens, we’ll always let you know in advance.
Each session typically lasts around 2.5 hours, but there’s no pressure—come and go whenever you feel comfortable. We understand that everyone’s needs are different, so if you require any reasonable adjustments, please contact us ahead of time so we can ensure your needs are met.
All our meet-ups are free to attend, with the only costs being for food, drinks, or activities if we’re at a café or off-site venue.
