(Found poem based on the poetry of Amanda Gorman, George Ella Lyon, William Shakespeare, and Stanley Kunitz)
Shall I compare thee to a summer's day?
Spilling old pictures,
Stood in the disenchanted field,
We lift our gazes,
Amazed,
Blue poured into summer blue.
Even as we hurt, we hoped.
Know that this distance will make our hearts grow fonder.
When this ends, we'll smile sweetly,
So long lives this, and this gives life to thee.
