this book was ok. the characters were fine, the plot was fine, it was all fine. i am very mad that there is a sequel (which i refuse to read) because the authors wrapped up the story nicely at the end. we dont need you to add more to it. it seems to me that the authors decided to make a sequel only because people liked the first book, even though they had wrapped up everyones stories. of course, i could be wrong. anyways going back to the actual book itself: there was no real storyline other than the fact that arthur was leaving in a couple weeks. there was a deadline, and that was basically the whole plot. because of this, there was never really time for arthur and ben to really get to know each other and we therefore didnt know much. usually in books we can get an intimate scene where the love interests share every single detail about their lives that we never really care about, but its a cute scene. here, if i remember correctly, we dont get that and therefore we lack the in depth connection to the characters that we could have gotten. if youre looking for a book with characters to relate to and get connected to, you may not want to read what if its us. alas, despite my gazillions of complaints this book wasnt the suckiest thing that ive read. 7/10
