this book was...interesting, to say the least. i did enjoy it, but my thoughts on it are very mixed. at the time i am writing this, this is my most recent read. i think that it was a very good book, but what made it not as enjoyable was the ending, where we (spoiler alert!) follow the basic cinderella storyline - oh no, she loses her shoe, it's past her curfew, she runs home, love interest then finds the shoe and hunts her down, they live happily ever after, the end. while i did enjoy reading this even throughout the predictablility, the thing i most hate is that the title gave it its predictability. i did notice how the title came into play at the end of the book but it would be fun to read a book based on a fairytale without the title giving it away. putting the topic of the title aside, as it is mostly unrelated to my enjoyment of the book, the storyline was pretty good. could it technically be called enemies to lovers? i think that it could, but they were also lovers the whole time. is this book a must read? it depends on what you're into, but for a clean, fluffy, cute romance, this is definitely something to read.
edit (thoughts after reading the sequel): honestly this book was definitely worth the read. i realize that the title made me very doubtful of the storyline, as it did make me cringe a little, but did i waste my time? definitely not.
