I've worked with the Performing Stars of Marin with my Honors Art Fundamentals class. The Performing Stars of Marin is a non-profit organization that works to support low-income and multicultural families and children through forms of both art and expression.
Annie Small: Marin City's "Rosie the Riveter"
In the summer of 2024, I participated in an Honors Global Learning experience in Marin City.
I worked with Performing Stars of Marin in a beautification project for the pickle ball courts and dumpsters in Marin City. We also visited the Berkeley Art Museum for the new exhibition: "A Movement in Every Direction: Legacies of the Great Migration". It was a meaningful and rewarding experience where I learned more about the history of Marin City and the people who built it. I valued working with our community partner and developing relationships with the kids.
Home Health Agency Inc.
During my summer breaks, I volunteer at Healing Touch Home Health Agency in Gilroy. I help with tasks such as answering phone calls, managing patient records, creating welcome packets, as well as communicating with physicians regarding patient orders.
