Research Principles
As a researcher, my guiding principles are:
Empiricism: My work is grounded in science and logic, and builds upon relevant prior literature. Conclusions are derived from carefully collected data.
Meaningful Impact: In all things, I want my work to support positive change in the world.Â
Innovation: I strive to create new knowledge, methodologies, and ways of thinking through my science.
Some methods I employ to ensure my work is defined by these principles are collaborating closely with indigenous scientists, using multiple lines of inquiry about any given question to help minimize the risk of significant results that do not imply what they seem to, and taking an interdisciplinary approach to all of my research.
