Outreach Work

As a primatologist, science education and outreach are crucial to me. Below are various organizations I work with in this regard:

• Growing Equity in Science and Technology: I am on the exec board as a Logistics and Volunteer Recruitment lead, organizing events intended to bring science opportunities to under-privileged middle school students.

• BOOOST Beyond: I am on the exec board as the events lead and I am a student mentor, working with under-privileged high school students, helping them through the college application process and life decisions post-high school.

• New Rochelle High School Science Research Department: I am a research mentor, working with high school students to give them hands-on science research experience as early as they can.

• Duke Evolutionary Anthropology Department DEI Committee: I am on the DEI committee for my department, working on making our department more equitable and accessible to everyone.
