Those who want to participate in the puppet and toy making workshop, must send their names to abhivyakti.festivals@gmail.com before 17th August 2019. Its a free workshop so limited entry only.
The Puppet / Toy Making Workshop (Those who want to participate, bring the following with you)
Objective / Purpose To help participants learn how to make a simple toy /
puppet for themselves or to gift it to ill/sick children in hospitals
Duration 30 mins- Number of Participants 20 maximum 25
Each participant should have
1. Two old socks – preferably plain
2. Recron cotton to stuff the sock – 500 gms for
each child
3. Rubberbands - one packet
4. Scissors - a pair
5. Bindis – shining ones one packet
6. Googly eyes - two pairs
7. Fevicol or fevibond - one tube
Output One toy puppet
Promise Each child makes atleast three such sock puppets
and donates that to the nearby hospital
Will need a chart paper and makers for the
participants to write / draw their promise!!

Painting - 3:00 pm to 4:30 pm
Classical Music: 3 pm to 4:30 pm Group A,B and C whereas 7.30 pm Group D
Classical dance: 3 pm to 4.30 pm Group A and B whereas 7 pm to 9.30 pm Group C and D as well as group D.1
4.45 pm all participants would assemble at the auditorium
5 pm Formal Function begins
Dignitaries of the day will address the participants
Cultural program
Inauguration of the "Abhivyakti National" Festival series 2019
Certificate Distribution for all participants who have finished the competitions or are yet to.
And games and activities such as Puppets show, Story telling, Theater and traditional games for all participants
You can participate in any ONE competition only.
Judges decision will be final.
No registration fees to be paid.
Open to all students
Group A: 4 to 6 years age
Group B: 7 to 10 years age
Group C: 11 to 15 years age
Group D: 16 to 20 years age and
Group D.1 -21 to 30 years
In Music and Dance: Category 1: Solo, Category 2: Duet, Category 3: Trio
Classical music and dance allowed only.
Fusion and Bollywood music will not be allowed.
All materials required for participating in any of the above competitions will have to be brought by the participants themselves.
Participants are advised to come with parents/ guardians.
Participants are required to come ready for the competition
Participants are required to assemble in the auditorium as soon as they reach the venue
Participants are required to mark their attendance with the respective volunteer as soon as they reach the venue
Participants are required to reach 10 mins before the given time of their category of competition. Late comers will not be allowed to enter.
Participants are advised to carry their water bottle, snacks box, napkins along with the materials / articles they need for presenting themselves in the competition
If you wish to be a part of the free puppet making workshop, email back to this id with name and mobile no. The puppet making workshop will be at 7 pm at venue for 30 mins. For the same, you have to bring your own materials, as listed in the file attached.
All participants have to be present at the auditorium to attend the formal function, which is compulsory. This is between 5 to 7 pm. Those who have completed the competition and those who have to still compete, all have to be at the auditorium between 5 to 7 pm (There are shows and special attractions for children, details of this can be seen in the festival link mentioned above) Participation certificates will be given only between 5 to 7 pm during the formal function.
The deadline to submit forms is extended and you can have your family and friends still register. All filled in forms which are submitted by you online, will be with our volunteers at the venue, they will verify and mark your attendance accordingly.
