2nd Abhivyakti National Seminar and classical dance festival 2019 on 27th September 2019
This festival had 3 sections.
1st was free workshops on Folk, classical dance and theatre which was open to all. Guru Niru Pandya from Gujarat, Ms. Sonia k and Mr. Sudhanva A.K. conducted these free workshops in which over 100 participants took part.
The 2nd section was the national seminar: In this Guru B.K. VasanthLakshmi, Director Vishruta School of Performing Arts, Shri C. Basvalingaiah, Director National school of Drama, Bangalore, Dr Deepti Navarathna, Executive director, Indira Gandhi National centre for the Arts and Ms. Nazneen Banu, Director National gallery of modern arts, Bangalore, addressed the gathering and shared their talk on "Importance of creative arts for psychological and social development of children and young adults". These expert speakers gave a very engaging talk and there were a lot of key takeaways for the audience which included parents, students, young teachers and upcoming artists.
The third section: Was the staging of a mega ballet, "Sri Sundara Kanda"
A divine journey of Sri Hanumaan is depicted in “Sundara kanda” a mega dance ballet which embraces 15 professionally trained dancers. The ballet is based on the philosophical, spiritual, psychological and political factors that come within the inside out journey of Sri Hanumaan. The ballet begins with Sri Hanumaan taking up the one of the important tasks of his life- finding Mother Sita, and show his devotion and love for his Lord Sri Rama. Directed by Kalayogi Guru Raghunandan S
The ballet layers over all the nava-rasa-s depicted over the episodes by several characters and the nayaka-bheda-s are also portrayed by the lead male characters.
The focus of the ballet is Sri Hanumaan and the plot unfolds from the magnitude of Sri Hanumaan’s quest. The ballet uses symbolic properties, character make-up, rich and technical costumes and support of the light and the sound to enrich the viewing experience.
The choreography and conceptualization is done by Guru VId. Raghu Nandan S.

Natuvangam : Dr. B K Shyam Prakash, Music Composition & Vocal : Vid Vinay Raaj Maanya ,Flute : Vid Mahesh Swamy, Violin : Vid Hemanth, Mridangam : Vid Ramesh, Rhythm Pad : Vid Arun kumar
And the various episodes that unfold the plots are;
Scene1. Hanumad langhana , Scene 2. Lanka Vaibhava , Scene 3. Ravana Athhahasa , Scene 4. Janaki prakarana , Scene 5. Vanara leela , Scene 6. Lanka Dahana, Scene 7. Choodamani Samarpanam
In the lead roles: Hanumaan- Raghu Nandan S, Sita: Manasi, Rama: Bhoomika, Ravana: Raghu Narayan , Indrajit: Samhita, Vibhishana and Lankini : Bhavya.
The concluding and critical remarks were presented to the audience, arts lovers and artists about the ballet which was addressed by Shri Raghuram. Shri C. Basvalingaiah and Shri B.K ShyamPrakash expressed their tehnical views as well. The other guests on the Dias included Smt Niru Pandya, Ms. Florence Lesage, Ms. Geetha Shaymprakash.
This festival is conceptualized by Odissi and Bharatanatyam artist and festival curator, Smt. Manasi Pandya Raghunandan.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------It gives me immense pleasure and pride to share with you all that the Abhivyakti cultural trust (R) Bangalore is presenting a series of festival titled Abhivyakti National festival series 2019-2020 in association with Alliance Francaise de Bangalore, Vasanthnagar. This is a mega festival and a humble way of preservation and promotion of Indian culture. All festival programs and workshops as well as activities are completely Free of cost and there is no registration amount charged from participants or audiences.
Through this festival, we are intending to reach out to art lovers, enthusiasts and encourage young artists and students by providing a platform to exhibit their talent in painting, Indian classical music and dance. This dance festival is also aimed at paving a way to bridging the gap between the experiences of senior most and celebrated exponents from the field and the interests of the art aspirants and young artists of the field.
The 1st edition of this festival was held at Delhi and was in association of the ICCR, New Delhi on July 7th 2017. Speakers, exponents and artists were present to make this a grand success. It was very well received and highly appreciated

The workshop gets over by 4:55. Followed by a 05 mins break.
This will be followed by the formal function.
All the workshops will be conduced at the auditorium itself.
There will be participation certificates and prasad given to all participants by the dignitaries of the formal program. The workshop will be followed by the formal program, both at the same venue, in the auditorium at Alliance francaise De Bangalore, Vasantnagar, Bangalore.
