Welcome to the Laboratory for Advanced Nanoelectronic Devices at SRM Research Institute of Science and Technology. Our research lies at the convergence of quantum charge transport, nanoscale device physics, and cyber-physical security. We investigate fundamental charge transport phenomena — tunnelling in atomic and molecular junctions, subthermionic switching, Landauer transmission in nanoparticle networks, and stochastic disorder. On one side, we develop advanced nanoelectronic components: contact engineering, high-frequency non-linear devices, tailored-grain-boundary nanoribbons, and flexible electronics. On the other, we turn the intrinsic quantum variability of these devices into hardware-rooted security primitives — on-chip device authentication, classical-quantum-communication, and decentralised device identity — establishing a physics-first foundation for cyber-physical security. The interdisciplinary scope spans experimental condensed-matter physics, device engineering, and applied cryptography, unified by the goal of harnessing quantum-scale transport for secure, scalable, post-CMOS electronics.
