Lake Wilderness Preservation Association members and volunteers clean the Lake Wilderness Park, surrounding roadways, the Jenkins Creek inlet, and lake's entire shoreline throughout the year to remove harmful trash and debris. During on-water events volunteers paddle kayaks, canoes, small boats and motorized rafts to find trash in hard to reach spots along the shore, transferring or towing large debris safely to shore with larger boats. Lake cleanup events provide opportunity for team building and getting to know others in the Maple Valley community. Please contact us if you are interested in particpating in a cleanup activity or day of service. Check our calendar for upcoming cleanups; also take a look at our volunteer page to learn about other ways you can get involved with the LWPA.
