Training is available for individual schools, clusters, or as part of INSET provision, including ADDS (Awareness, Discovery, Development, and Sustainment) sessions. These sessions demonstrate how Careers and Work-Related Experiences (CWRE) can be embedded into existing curriculum planning. CWRE is a cross-cutting theme within Curriculum for Wales and plays a vital role in supporting the Four Purposes, helping learners become ambitious, capable, enterprising, ethical, and healthy individuals.
Support can be provided to all Areas of Learning and Experience (AoLE) leads to ensure CWRE is covered across the curriculum through simple, practical additions to teaching. Sessions will also explore how educators can expand their understanding of evolving industries and the wide range of roles available to learners beyond those they may already be familiar with. Emphasis will be placed on recognising and celebrating learners’ achievements to build confidence in making informed choices, and developing key skills such as application writing and interview techniques. The earlier these skills are introduced, the more confident learners will become, breaking down barriers to employment and helping them make well-informed decisions about subject choices and future pathways.
