Work on the green carries on all year - anyone who can spare an hour to help would be very welcome. Contact Terry - email: terry@abermule.wales
The green has been mowed, fertilized and spiked during the close season and is looking good. Benches are now back in place and the notice board (blown down in a gale) has been repaired. Mowing and spiking will continue in March and into April. Many thanks to Marilyn, Bev and Alison for painting the surround boards!
There are lots of other jobs around the green other than mowing that need doing - painting, weeding, etc. If you could spare any time to help, please get in touch.
Many thanks to Gary Lewis for installing electronic switches to the watering system - all now controlled at the press of a button!

Last game of the season is on Sunday, 7th September at 2 p.m. - Memorial Match against St. Michaels.
Despite a rain delay and mixed weather during the game, Abermule won the game and aftrewards both teams enjoyed a tea in the Community Centre, where Mrs Peggy Cahill presented the Memorial Shield to Abermule.
And that's it for the 2025 Season. Don't forget we still need volunteers to work on the green during the close season, and we still need bingo prizes for the Bingo Evening at the Monty Club in November
Great news from Sport Wales - our grant application for a new mower and groomer was successful! This will make a huge difference to the quality of our green. Diolch yn fawr!

A very close win at Welshpool - only 2 points in it - well played to Gwyn, Ady, Denzil and Jane for a great performance under pressure to win the match for us!!
A narrow defeat to Berriew (3-4 ) puts us into 3rd place in the league, just half a point behind Berriew.
A 5-2 away win over Severn and a great 4-3 win over tabletopping Bettws keeps us in contention for the League title.
