The world seems to be spinning faster and faster. In this moment, it's possible you feel like you're being pulled in every direction: by your job, by family members, by friends, by society's expectations. But if you're here reading this, it could be that you feel something is missing. You may not know exactly what it is—just that there's a hole inside of you that needs to be filled… somehow.
Maybe the problem isn't that you don't know what to do next. Maybe the problem is that you haven't been listening to yourself—to your own inner wisdom and guidance. When we hear those voices telling us we've failed, telling us we'll never be enough, telling us we're not good enough—those voices aren't our real selves speaking. They're echoes from other people who have hurt us in the past (and probably still are hurting us). It's time for that cycle to stop!
You need to remember to listen for the voice inside of you—the one that knows your truth. The one that knows your purpose, your path forward through life. This is where joy comes from: listening to yourself and believing in yourself. Acceptance of who you are.
Don't let the world around you make you feel like there's something wrong with you. The truth is, we're all just trying to figure it out. And sometimes that means getting a little lost along the way. But that's OK!
There are 7 billion people on this planet and we are all so different. The amazing thing about life is that we get to live it in so many different ways, and if those ways don't lead us where we thought they would, that's OK, too!
We have to remember that each person's journey is their own; your journey is your own. It's not like anybody else's out there because it's YOURS—and it's perfect just the way it is right now.
It doesn't matter whether you got a degree, had kids, or found your soulmate at 20 years old. All of those things can be great, but none of them need to define you or dictate how you feel about yourself. You deserve to feel good about who you are—right now—regardless of what anyone else thinks about your path so far.
There are times when it can feel like you’ve lost your way, and there is no end in sight. You've faced some hard stuff and you've come out the other side still standing. Now you're left wondering what the next step is, and how to get there.
I see you. I see your courage and strength. I see your determination to find your path, even when it seemed like the world was against you. I see your desire to be better, do better, create more joy in the world than pain.
I'm not here to tell you that everything's going to be okay, but I am here to tell you that this is normal. It's okay to be scared. It's okay to feel lost. It's okay if you don't know where to turn next or what the right move is.
What matters is that you keep moving forward. What matters is that you keep faith in yourself—that you trust yourself and believe in your ability to find your way when it seems impossible.
You'll get there because where "there" is doesn't matter—you can't miss it if it's yours, and if it's yours, it will find its way back to you eventually. What does matter is how connected you allow yourself to feel along the way
I know that right now, you might be grieving, or anxious, or lost. You might not know who you are anymore, or where you belong. And I want to tell you that… that's okay. In fact, it's more than okay—it's the way it should be.
It is part of your path to find yourself. To learn to believe in yourself and feel that pure acceptance of everything that makes up who you are: your truth.
And when this happens—when you accept yourself for who you are—you begin to live in a world of joy and peace and happiness and lightness. And as this happens, something even more incredible occurs: the world around you begins to change. It starts to match the energy field inside of you, and what surrounds you becomes a reflection of the love and happiness and acceptance built up within.
