Methodology

Goal: 

The aim of this course is to introduce students to scientific research by facilitating the task of bibliographic research and the preparation of their final thesis while respecting international conventions and standards.

Recommended prior knowledge: 

In the form of subjects already described, and/or a brief description of the knowledge required to follow this course.

Module Content :

• Objectives of scientific research.

• Bibliographic research on the web, in libraries, etc.

• Exploration of mathematics websites (AMS, MathScinet, EMIS, etc.).

• The MSC classification of different branches of mathematics.

• Preparation of a thesis or dissertation.

• Writing a mathematics article.

• Submitting an article to a mathematics journal.
