licensed marriage & family therapist
providing virtual psychotherapy to clients in Virginia
Originally from Baltimore, MD, I planned on becoming a therapist from a young age. I believe our relationships are the most important things in our lives. And research agrees! We know that relationship health is a main predictor of physical and mental health outcomes. Humans are social creatures - we need our relationships, not only to survive, but to thrive. Supporting my clients in improving their relationships with themselves and others is an honor and a privilege.
I graduated from the University of Maryland, College Park, in 2018, where I studied psychology, family science, and human development. Studying these fields simultaneously allowed me to truly grasp how our psychology and family experiences are informed by our greater context, all working together to shape our human development. I decided the right path to becoming a therapist, for me, was through the Marriage & Family Therapy field - One that honors the intersectionality of the human experience and adopts a systemic lens to conceptualizing individual and relational distress and mental health issues. I completed my Masters in Human Development with a concentration in Marriage & Family Therapy at Virginia Tech in 2022. After completing a supervised residency post-masters, I am now an independently licensed clinician. I offer virtual therapy, under the group practice McLean Psychotherapy & Psychiatry, based in McLean, VA.
I live in Portland, ME with my husband and two cats - Felix & Percy. We recently moved here from the Northern Virginia/Washington DC area. Moving to Maine, like becoming a therapist, has been a life-long dream of mine. Living immersed in nature helps me stay grounded and remember that life is always offering glimmers.
In my free time, I'm an artist, and I also hike, camp, hang out at the beach, and explore coastal Maine towns & New England nature.
