COMMITMENT & EXPECTATIONS

AAYCM Commitment & Participation Expectations

AAYCM relies on the dedication and reliability of student musicians. To ensure a smooth experience, participants agree to these expectations. That being said, we reserve the right to remove anyone who does not follow these expectations:

Rehearsals:

• Attend scheduled rehearsals on time and prepared with instrument, music, and necessary materials.

• Notify the mentor in advance if unable to attend.

• Be respectful of the space, instruments, and fellow musicians.

Performances:

• Arrive on time and follow all directions from mentors.

• Perform with a positive attitude and support fellow musicians.

• Students must respect the performance environment (retirement homes, health centers, public spaces)

Behavior:

• Show respect and consideration for all participants, mentors, and audience membors.

• No disruptive behavior is allowed during rehearsals or performances.

Commitment:

• Students should commit to participating in the current season or project to the best of their ability.

• Frequent unexplained absences may result in removal from specific performance opportunities.

Parent/Guardian Acknowledgment:

• Parent/guardians are encouraged to support their child's participation by ensuring they arrive on time, prepared, and ready to follow AAYCM policies.
