As an artist of culturally diverse Asian and European heritage, I am interested in how a person represents oneself to the world and conversely, how others perceive them. Consequently, my art is often centred on notions of identity.

My art inquiry is guided by questioning how a person represents oneself in different contexts and spaces. In other words, how our identity is continually in flux, as we shift from one physical, cultural or social space to another.

Thinking about why we compelled to take on these different personas, my work corresponds to my evolving identity as a global citizen, artist and educator.
