Hi there! Thanks for checking out my campaign website. Here, you'll find everything about me, my campaign, and my experience in ASB over the last few years at STEM. But don't just take it from me -- check out what my peers have to say about me in the recommendations section!

Hi, My name is Aanchal Batwara and I am a current sophomore at Tesla STEM High School! I've loved STEM since the first day, but noticed that there was a difference I could make; hence I ran for Student Government (ASB). Since freshman year, I've served 3 years consecutively as class president (for Freshman & Sophomore year) and VP (Junior year) and came across several fun, learning, and memorable moments. As a leader who aspires to make a difference and help out anywhere I can, I love to volunteer, am a part of various youth boards, and am willing to do whatever it takes to be a wise, efficient, and memorable representative of Tesla STEM.
Aside from STEM, I currently play varsity lacrosse for Eastlake, and club lacrosse! Lacrosse is really important to me, and represents the balance to a healthy mental and physical relationship with school and personal life. I'm really into physical health, and keeping myself healthy, not only mentally, but physically as well. I understand the balance between an academic heavy mindset, but also an athletic and extracurricular focus as well. I'm out in the community volunteering at least a couple times a month because I truly believe that community involvement is really important, and to impact others, you must start with your own community. I love spending time with my family and friends, and love the outdoors!
My ultimate purpose is to touch the lives of those around me, create a positive influence, and make a lasting impression wherever I go. This breaks down into two essential parts:
Pursuing my Passion:
I've devoted the last six years to being a significant part of ASB, striving to make a meaningful impact on my community. My commitment to servant leadership is evident not only through ASB, but also in my work with the local youth boards, officiating girls' lacrosse, and volunteering for many organizations. Simply put, every action I take brings me one step closer to pursuing my passion.
Serving Others:
The work that I do is ultimately to empower others to feel welcomed in their communities. As a member of the STEM community, I recognize that even though we are a smaller school, it can sometimes feel like we are isolated. By putting on The Back to School Bash, Freshman Fiesta, Career Day, Sophomore Movie Night, and Finals Week Care Packages, I’ve worked hard towards fostering a solution to this rather widespread challenge. But the work I started as STEM’s Sophomore & Freshman Representative is only the beginning to solve this larger problem. I aim to not only bring not only the class of 2026 together, but to foster camaraderie among all grades at Tesla STEM as our next Vice President.
At the end of the day, we're all here to forge meaningful connections, create unforgettable memories, and soar to new heights together!

As ASB President, I see myself as the orchestrator for channeling the energy and potential within STEM's student body, so that we can make an impact for ourselves, our school, and our community!
Foster:
Let's hold Tesla STEM to a higher standard! We are so privileged to be the #1 school in Washington state; let's earn it by giving back to it! I envision achieving this by setting a higher standard for ourselves and our school community. Drawing from my experiences as a member of the Redmond Youth and Sammamish Youth Boards, I am uniquely positioned to identify and spearhead initiatives that encourage our student body and school to integrate more deeply within the greater Redmond area. By channeling the energy and potential within STEM's diverse student body, we can make a significant impact not only within our school walls but also in our broader community.
Welcome:
While our classes, under the guidance of class representatives, have shown improvement over the years, there remains room to enhance inter-class cohesion. I am committed to fostering an environment where every grade feels connected to one another, forging valuable bonds and relationships that extend beyond high school. Engaging with STEM alumni, I've learned that some of their most enduring friendships were formed during their high school years. As ASB President, I aim to nurture these connections by promoting collaborative events, mentorship programs, and activities that unite students across grades, creating a cohesive and supportive STEM community.
Deliver:
Once we've solidified these connections at the school level, my next goal as ASB President is to empower each individual student at STEM to excel in their endeavors. Whether you're leading a club and need assistance organizing an event or exploring interests outside of STEM, ASB is here to support you. I propose establishing new committees within ASB dedicated to cross-club coordination, ensuring that our student-led initiatives are well-coordinated and successful. Recognizing that many of us have passions beyond STEM subjects, I am committed to creating opportunities for students to explore and gain exposure to diverse career paths and interests. Together, with the collective efforts of our student body and the support of ASB, we can create a thriving and inclusive environment where everyone has the resources and encouragement to excel.
