Shannon will be MLA's 2nd Black president, Tara will serve on the Board of Directors, Jamia, Shenita & Tyler will pick the nominees for next election.

Beverly is the 1st Black recipient of MLA's most distinguished award, Bethany got 2 awards; Aidy's 1st award for her research.

The MLA DEI Task Force was jointly awarded for significant work done to improve diversity, equity and inclusion within the organization. Aidy Weeks also got the award for her collaboration on MLA's COVID-19 Resource.

Jacqueline will join her MLA Rising Stars cohort to work on a project to help lead change in the organization.

Nikki joins her cohort to learn about research design and planning during the MLA Research Training Institute.
