On September 21, 2018, The MSU Denver Student Chapter of AAAE presented former Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood Emergency Manager, Jason Alvero. With 140+ attendees, Mr. Alvero was greatly successful in expressing the important lessons learned in safety management systems following the 2017 Terminal Shooting. Following Mr. Alvero's insight, attendees were also given the chance to network with organizations such as Denver Int'l Airport, Centennial Airport and the Transportation Security Administration.
