the branding was created when the project was in its research phase and engagement with patients and caregivers was heightened. This allowed folks to differentiate between various documents they were given. The branding was transferred to the project as it exited the research phase to the operational phase.
The initial intake process to the project was based on inherent knowledge of steps and process, which lead to confusion and improper procedure order. While the one-pager intake flow diagram appears cluttered and plain, this is an asset in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU). The diagram addresses the professional responsible at each stage, the requirement for all to the advancement to ARDS, and supplementary information. This allows for professionals to see the steps and criteria that were met to meet stages.
