Welcome to my storybook website! My stories are an anthology of a collection of stories about brother relationships in the Indian epics. However, I incorporated elements of two television shows, The Vampire Diaries and The Originals. I believe these shows are centered around the bond of family--specifically a brother's bond. The epics entailed many themes of brotherhood, the main one of the Ramayana centered around the relationship between Rama and Lakshmana. I incorporated their brother dynamic to the vampire brother dynamic of Damon and Stefan Salvatore. Damon Salvatore is a vampire who is a fierce protector of his loved ones, and will spare nothing to make sure his lover, Elena, is not in harm's way. When Elena gets hurt, he often blames himself and his strong exterior fades into a more emotional state. He would portray an excellent Rama, seen in the story further. His brother Stefan is loyal and loving. He looks out for Damon's love, but ultimately listens and submits to his brother often. The Salvatore brothers have lived and endured many enemies throughout eternities, and in the end they would die for each other just as Rama and Lakshmana would.
The Originals vampire brothers Klaus and Elijah Mikaelson best portray the Ramayana's Ravana and Kumbhakarna. Klaus Mikaelson is portrayed as a villain in both shows. The original vampires were introduced as the antagonists in season 3 of The Vampire Diaries. The orignal vampires are the very first vampire created. They are a family that became vampires from their witch mother. After season 4, their story line of how they became the first vampire family branched out into a new show called The Originals. Klaus is known to go to great lengths to fulfill his desires of becoming the most powerful vampire. His brother, Elijah, is loyal to him but remains calm and levelheaded in many problems they face together. Klaus often lashes out at his family, including Elijah, when they disagree with his actions. The Mikaelson brothers portray the loyalty, yet unpredictability of the relationship between Ravana and Kumbhakarna.
The Original family has the most loyal bond. Their story as a family is similar to the Pandavas and Karna's story in the Mahabharata. The Pandavas are five brothers featured in the Mahabharata. Karna was also their unknown brother, but fought against them. Similarly, Marcel in The Originals was seen as a brother to the Mikaelsons. However, he often fought and challenged their leadership in the French Quarter of New Orleans.
