Running a business is a bit more of a challenge than we first thought

Some of the challenges we have...

• I don’t want people to know how inexperienced I am at this
• Everyone else seems to be doing so well, I’m in a mess
• I know I need help, but I have no money and who can I trust?

Some ideas and suggestions

1. it is impossible for you to know everything you need to do for your business
2. We all need helpful people around us. Some are suppliers, some will be people we can collaborate with, others might come up with suggestions, ideas, connections, or be able to teach us things… we can’t do this on our own no matter how much we'd like too. We are going to have to meet people
3. Be honest with yourself and others about your business
4. Gather around you a trusted 'personal network' of business people who want to see you succeed
5. Nominate a mentor, someone local and knowledgeable, someone you know you can trust, who’ll look out for you and be there for advice & guidance as a sounding board (can also be a small peer-2-peer group)
