A Combination of All I've Done This Semester
Welcome to my ePortfolio! I'm McKenzie Miller. I am a black, 18-year-old woman that was born and raise here in Brunswick, Georgia. I've recently graduated from Brunswick High School and decided to further my education at CCGA. I'm a Psychology major with an interest in writing and hope to use my education to pursue my career as a therapist and an author. My interest includes video games, writing small works, YouTube, researching abnormal/personality psychology, researching various disorders/illnesses, and music (mostly singing).
For my freshman year, I had the privilege to take Dr. McGinnis' English 1101 class. In this short amount of time, I have learned how to deconstruct my previous knowledge of writing to create academic works appropriate in a college setting. I've also learned about rhetoric, how it is present in everyday life, and how it impacts perspective no matter what you are looking at. To add, I've learned about analysis and how to analyze different pieces of work while creating my own different pieces of work. From podcasts, to essays, to web-texts, I've retained a great deal about the basics of English Composition and cannot wait to take my learned skills into more advanced classes and in the real world.
