Definition : The Present Continuous Tense is used to describe actions that are happening right now or actions that are planned for the near future.
Formula of present continouos tense :
- Affirmative Sentences:
Subject + am/is/are + Verb-ing
Example: She is reading a book.
- Negative Sentences:
Subject + am/is/are + not + Verb-ing
Example: He is not (isn't) playing football.
- Interrogative Sentences:
Am/Is/Are + Subject + Verb-ing?
Example: Are you watching TV?
Usage of present continouos tense :
1. Actions happening right now:
- Example: I am studying English.
- Explanation: Describes activities that are currently in progress.
2. Planned future actions:
- Example: She is meeting her friend tomorrow.
- Explanation: Describes activities that are planned for the future.
Example Sentences of present continouos tense :
Affirmative:
