Each course is available for Co-Use during SURT Class Cycles and for separate reservations during cycle breaks. Co-Use is NOT available during RAP week and on a deconflicted basis during Patrol Weeks. Units are able to use simultaneous to courses during days 4-7 and days 14-15 (until 1300). The course is NOT available during days 16-18. Use of both courses are available during cycle break week, though the unit must reserve the land separately on RFMSS. Access to the score binder is only available during cycle breaks from 0900-1500. The minimum medical equipment required for execution is as follows: x2 CASEVAC vehicles with driver and TC (FLA or other military vehicle), aid bag, and ice sheets if climate dictates. The following obstacles are available: Dirty Name, Confidence Climb, Belly Crawl, Swing and Jump, Tarzan, Balance Logs, Weaver, Island Hopper, Spider Wall, Six Vaults, Tough One, Reverse Climb, Skyscraper, and Vertical Wall. The minimum medical equipment required for execution is as follows: x2 CASEVAC vehicles with driver and TC (FLA or other military vehicle), aid bag, spine board, and ice sheets if climate dictates. Crash mats are available at the site and must be positioned prior to execution. Use of the O-Course is allowed on any day during a SURT Class Cycle except Day 1. During cycle break weeks, use of the O-Course is allowed (via separate RFMSS reservation) between 0900-1500. CONOP and DRAW required to SURT XO prior to execution.
RPFA Course - Course available for daily execution with exception of Days 1 and 15. Unit internal medical coverage required for use. Prior notification to SURT XO and TAC to ensure access to required materials.
4/12 Mile Course - Course available for daily execution with exception of Days 1, 3, and 15. Unit internal medical coverage required for use. STX Lanes - Contact SURT XO for more information on your unit utilizing the training area for STX lanes. No LFX permitted.
Unit representatives must provide a complete CONOP and signed Deliberate Risk Assessment in order to conduct both land navigation and obstacle course training. Send to the S.U.R.T. XO at DAVID.C.WEAVER38.MIL@ARMY.MIL. For use of the land navigation course during a S.U.R.T. class, please do not make a separate RFMSS reservation as SURT cadre will report your training audience as part of the S.U.R.T. class in training. For use of the land navigation course outside of a S.U.R.T. class, a RFMSS reservation for training area W1 is required.
