Your goal is to sink all the striped or solid balls, and finally the 8 ball. You're assigned stripes or solids based on the first ball sunk (after the opening shot). But watch out, if you sink the 8 ball too early, you lose the game!

When a player has potted all of their (solid or striped) balls, they must pot the black 8 ball to win the game. Caution: if you pot the 8 ball BEFORE your other balls, you automatically lose. Fouling when shooting for the 8 ball does NOT result in a game loss, except if you pot BOTH the cue ball and 8 ball with your shot.

If I am playing on PC vs someone on an android/ios device, the physics match exactly to eachother. How did they manage to do that? I don't think they are constantly sending positions since I can see my ball moving offline as well. I assume they play each game on the server too. But I can't figure out how they sync those physics across multiple platforms. Doesn't floating point difference play a role in this (or after a while, which actually now makes sense since they may ''correct'' the differences after every move... hmmz I answered my own question perhaps?) ?

There are eight pockets on a billiard table, and inside each pocket there is a ball. The player must shoot the cue ball into one of these pockets so it lands in contact with one of the white balls. In order to win, the player must have no more than two balls remaining on the table and they must land in their own or someone else's pocket. The game ends when all balls are removed from the table.

Long story short , I noticed there is not many if any models for unique 3d models for pool racks. I am trying to get better with my 3d modeling, but I simply am not were I need to be to design it myself. The prompt would be, a 8 ball rack, and 9 ball rack, using either dragons, halo, or some other fantasy/sci-fi theme. I have edited and uploaded some images that maybe useful to help fill out the idea I am having. If you go the dragon route preferably an eastern dragon design it might be easier to work into the concept. Preferably it would have a function, but more integrated design like this antler pool rack image I found. While not a dragon it still goes with the fantasy possibly a rack that is three swords arranged outside the functional base to make the triangle. I am new here and so I can only post one image, so please look at my reply to this post for the antler reference photo.

8-Ball Pool is the most commonly played type of online pool in the United States and across most (but not all) of the world, and we believe our version is the best. But don't just take our word for hit - try your luck with our classic 8-ball pool game.

The English-originating version of eight-ball pool, also known as English pool, English eight-balltag_hash_114__blackball, or simply reds and yellows, is a pool game played with sixteen balls (a cue ball and fifteen usually unnumbered object balls) on a small pool table with six pockets. It originated in the United Kingdom and is played in the Commonwealth countries such as Australia and South Africa. In the UK and Ireland it is usually called simply "pool".

The English version of eight-ball has two main sets of playing rules used in professional play; those of the World Pool-Billiard Association (WPA), known as "blackball rules", and the code of the World Eightball Pool Federation (WEPF), known as "international rules".

American-style eight-ball arose around 1900, derived from basic pyramid pool.[1]In 1925, the Brunswick-Balke-Collender Company began offering ball sets specifically for the game using unnumbered yellow and red balls (in contrast to the numbered solids and stripes found in most pool ball sets), a black eight ball, and the white cue ball. These were introduced to make it easier for spectators to identify the two sets in early professional games held in casinos, and became known as "casino-style" sets.[2] In the years following World War II, playing eight-ball on small coin-operated pool tables became a common pub game in American bars, a pastime which spread to Britain by the early 1960s. In the years following, the British game diverged from the American in equipment (including the use of casino-style balls, which had died out in the US) and rules.[3]

British pool tables come in 6  3 foot (1.8  0.9 m) or 7  3.5 ft (2.12  1.06 m) varieties,[4] with 7 feet being the regulation size for league play. The table has pockets just larger than the balls and rounded, as in the game of snooker, whereas the international-style (or "American-style") table has pockets significantly wider, with pointed knuckles.

The English Pool Association (EPA) uses the rules of the World Eightball Pool Federation (WEPF). Since 2022 the EPA and WEPF have adopted a ruleset known as "International Rules", which are used in all events organised by the Ultimate Pool Group. Prior to 2022 these organisations used a different set of rules known as "World Rules".[5]

The English Blackball Pool Federation (EBPF) uses the rules of the World Pool-Billiard Association (WPA) under the game name "Blackball" to better distinguish it from the American-style game (for which the WPA also promulgates the world-standardised rules).[6] Since 2013 these rules are used in all events organised by the International Professional Pool Association (IPA). e24fc04721
