Homework
worksheets: Most nights Monday-Thursday your student has a paper worksheet to finish at home for homework. There are often more problems on the worksheet than are mandatory assigned. It’s great practice to have your student explain ot you the process of solving some problems and also show you the notes and example problems they did in their notebook in class that day.
Iready:
is a detailed program we purchased as a school to help fill in math and literacy gaps. If your student is more than 1 grade level behind in their math skills I highly recommend this program. We take a diagnostic in the fall, winter, and spring. The program automatically accounts for which skills your student is missing and assigs them to your student. There is video support along with the lessons. As the teacher I can see your students progress. It’s a great way to review and relearn skills that are no longer directly taught in the math classroom but are needed skills.

IXL
IXL has really broken down skills related to whatever we’re learning in class. It gives you instant feedback if you get a question wrong and what is the correct answer. I assign skills relevant to what we’re learning but a student can also choose skills based off of areas they know they need more practice or reach out to Mrs. Wagner for individually assigned skills (bailey_wagner@denvergreenschool.org)
To access, login to https://clever.com/in/dpsk12 then click on “IXL”. Then go to “My IXL” and assigned skills will be there.
Khan Academy
Khan Academy is a fantastic resource for videos and practice skills related to 7th grade math. They have all the key skills in sequential order for 7th grade.
To access, students should login to https://www.khanacademy.org/login using their google login. They can go to any 7th grade video lessons and skills by using this link https://www.khanacademy.org/math/cc-seventh-grade-math . I also frequently assign specific skills in class which they can find the recent skills by going to student dashboard and then assigned skills.
