Los Congresos Internacionales de Arquitectura Religiosa Contemporánea (CIARC) se celebran cada dos años. Estos encuentros están dedicados a profundizar en la importancia cultural, el uso ritual y el significado de la arquitectura religiosa más reciente.

Hasta el momento se han celebrado seis ediciones de los CIARC.

Las dos primeras ediciones estuvieron patrocinadas por el Obispado de Ourense (España) y el Colegio Oficial de Arquitectos de Galicia (COAG). A partir de 2013, los CIARC se han seguido realizando de manera autónoma, siempre contando con la colaboración de entidades y académicos locales y con el apoyo de un Comité Científico de carácter internacional.

En 2018 se creó el Observatorio de Arquitectura Religiosa Contemporánea (OARC), una entidad dependiente de la Universidade da Coruña que, en lo sucesivo, será la organizadora de los CIARC.

The International Conferences on Contemporary Religious Architecture (CIARC) are held every two years. These encounters are dedicated to delving into the cultural trascendence, ritual use, and significance of the most recent sacred architecture.

So far six editions of the CIARC have been held.

The first two editions were sponsored by the Bishopric of Ourense (Spain) and the Official College of Architects of Galicia (COAG).

As of 2013, CIARCs have continued to be carried out autonomously, always with the collaboration of local entities and academics and with the support of an international Scientific Committee.

In 2018, the Observatory of Contemporary Religious Architecture (OARC) was created, an entity dependent on the University of Coruña which, from now on, will be the organizer of the CIARC.
