We are eager to support you by providing letters of recommendation when you need them. However, letters or recommendation do require a lot of work, so we need your partnernship in writing them. Please follow the following steps to request a letter of recommendation:
Clearly understand what you are asking for:
What is required of the letter of recommendation?
When is it due? How shoud the teacher submit it?
Does it need to include specific information?
If you applying for principal discretion, you need to understand the four categories and decide which you are submitting under. Also, include which school you are appying to.
Send a formal email to the teacher outlining your request (purpose, due date, how it will be submitted). Please note, providing at least two weeks notice for a letter or recommendations is standard.
