Here are step by step instruction for what we covered in our workshop @Spread The Word
Step 1: Research your topic with your partner
Step 2: Create a Google Doc, name it the Title of your Historical Event, and Share it with your partner.
Step 3: Write a short dialog (create a script) between the key figures of your event in your Shared Google Doc - share it with the teacher.
Step 4: Select Legos or draw characters you want to use to represent the historical figures from your event.
Step 5: Set up your "stage" - decide if you will be using a 3D technique or bird's-eye perspective to capture your frames.
Step 6: Film your frames in iMotion - TIPS:
Step 7: Once you have shot all of the scenes, export your iMotion project as a VIDEO to the PHOTO LIBRARY
Step 8: Open up iMovie and start a new project - select MOVIE
Step 9: Select the "simple" setting and tap CREATE MOVIE
Step 10: Make sure you are in the video files in iMovie, tap the clip you wish to use (it will turn yellow) and the tap the DOWN ARROW to make your clip appear in the tray
Step 11: Tap the MICROPHONE to record your script as your movie plays - accept the recording that is paced correctly with the movements of your characters and/or the mouths
Step 12: Upload finished projects to YouTube directly from iMovie
