Bihar Social Science Academy (BSSA) organizes the Bihar Social Science Congress (BSSC) every year with a view to discovering, developing and disseminating the science of “Nature-Human-Society” through intra, inter and multi-disciplinary appraisal and integration of current research and theory in all subjects of science. Its main objective is to drive a new debate in the field of social sciences, which includes all those ideas that expound the interrelationships of science and society. All subjects/disciplines of the science of Nature- Humans- Society is represented in the Bihar Social Science Congress. In this congress, 28 Subject Research Committees and 25 Interdisciplinary Thematic Panels on contemporary topics are working. The Congress aims to make India and its people creative, self-reliant, prosperous, healthy and happy while living in peace and harmony with Nature. The main aim of this congress is to promote science in regional languages.
There is a mutual interrelationship between science and society. Self-reliance and co-existence prevail between the two. The production and development process begins with the mutual influence of science and society. After the prehistoric discovery of the method of controlling fire, the Neolithic Revolution increased the available sources of food. The invention of the wheel made man's travel easier and contributed significantly to controlling the environment. The use of science contributed significantly to the development of society and humanity. The printing press, telephone, internet, aeroplane, rocket, spacecraft, etc. contributed significantly to facilitating social development and communication in advancing the global economy and developing new ways to use natural resources for the development of humanity. Digital technology created history by entering every process of social system development. The use of science and technology has not only led to the exploitation of natural resources but has also created a huge problem of pollution.
Along with the development of society and humanity, science has presented before us the challenges of social values and bioethics. Today, the competition for productivity efficiency has raised serious questions on the ethics of science. Today, there is a debate going on in the world about whether science improves the condition of social development or makes it worse. However, in today's era of very fast change, the issue of social development through the use of science has become very relevant and the centre of serious ideological debate all over the world.
We eagerly anticipate the exciting and mind-stimulating presentations at the Congress. This is an excellent opportunity for all teachers, researchers, career academics, and practitioners to gain profile and prominence in an internationally celebrated, rapidly growing and inclusive research community. Research papers from teachers/faculty, research scholars/scientists, thinkers, philosophers, social activists, policy planners and those interested in all domains of knowledge inter alia science, social science, etc., are invited on the focal theme or any aspect of Science of Nature-Human-Society for the following Discipline-based Research Committees and Interdisciplinary Thematic Panels:
