Bihar Social Science Academy (BSSA) is a voluntary non-political, non-governmental, non-profit making, autonomous organization working in the field of Nature-Human- Society. The organization came into existence on 5th December, 2017. Headquartered inPatna, the aims and objectives of the Academy are rooted in constructive analysis for social, economic and political change. The Academy promotes dialogue, participation, creativity and reflection while working towards building a fully democratic, participatory andegalitarian educational culture. Universities, research institutes, active professors, socialworkers and educationists have contributed significantly in the establishment of the Academy. The Academy conducts research work, publications, publication of journals, organizes seminars, workshops and congresses.
Udaynacharya Rosera College was established in the year 1950 in the loving memory of thegreat philosopher of Mithlanchal Udaynacharya. This is one of the oldest and widelyacclaimed constituents college under Lalit Narayan Mithila University since April 01 1975.The College is located in semi urban area about 30 kms From Samastipur and is well connected by road and rail. The sprawling College campus accommodates Undergraduates Departments, Playground, Seminar Hall and a big Auditorium. The campus provides an adequate infrastructure that consists of a well furnished Laboratory, Library, hostel and spacious Classrooms. As an Institution of learning, College has acommanding presence in the University. The College while maintaining its exemplaryrecords in university examinations has also emerged as a major contender in Inter university competitions wining large number of prizes. College while fostering a stimulating academic environment, attempts at instilling in the student values and attitudes which recognized the human imperatives of a strife free community.
Education lover Shri Ramji Mishra (Assistant Station Master) of Narhan Railway Station along with the dignitaries of the area and Babu Janardan Prasad Singh contacted ShrimanDiwan Bahadur Kameshwar Narayan Singh of Narhan State and requested him to light theflame of education in the area. Shriman Babu paved the way for the establishment of thecollege by donating 15 bigha 4 katta 16 dhoor land to the college. Initially the college wasnamed "Rani Rajineeti Kunwar Mahavidyalaya" after the name of Shriman Babu's wife. Before the development work of the college could be done satisfactorily and properly, Shriman Diwan Bahadur Kameshwar Narayan passed away untimely. As a result, thecollege administrative committee approved changing the name of the college to Diwan Bahadur Kameshwar Narayan Mahavidyalaya. The Institute has a legacy of more thanfifty four years. The college imparts teaching up to Graduate level in Science, Commerce and Arts. College also offres B. ED. course.
