This event is the only fundraiser for Madison County 4-H Youth Council! We rely on funds through donations and participation to help us continue providing events for Madison County. These events include the 4-H Family Movie Day at the Iowa Theatre, our Donut Drive at American State Bank, the 4-H Pool Party at the Winterset Aquatic Center, and the Movie Night during the county fair—all of which are completely free of charge.
Interested in becoming a donor?
There are several ways we accept donations for this race. The first is through our "RunSignup" platform, which accepts all forms of card and Apple Pay donations. Cash donations are accepted on the morning of the race. Additional donations can be dropped off or mailed to the Madison County Extension Office at any time, either before or after the race. Donations are different from sponsorships because you will not be included in the promotion of the race and printed race materials.
Interested in becoming a sponsor?
We are seeking sponsorships to help continue the tradition of the 4K for 4-H. Our sponsorship levels are based on the 4-H pledge: Head ($1,000), Heart ($500), Hand ($250), and Health ($100 or in-kind donation).
Sponsorships help cover event expenses such as participant t-shirts, race awards, post-race recovery snacks, finish-line setup, and other race-day needs. Sponsors will be recognized on the back of the event t-shirt, with business names listed under their corresponding sponsorship level, and acknowledged in a thank-you post on our 4-H Facebook page. Any funds remaining after the race directly support these community events, which are offered at no cost to participants.
If your business is unable to contribute financially but would still like to participate, we gladly accept in-kind donations. Community members and local businesses help provide recovery items, race bibs, participant perks, and prizes, all of which are recognized as part of our race-day support.
