COMMANDERS GUIDANCE

Commander’s Intent

•Purpose:

Provide clear guidance, tools, and resources for leaders to execute a developed training plan utilizing Troop Leading Procedures. Unit Soldiers will increase their knowledge of the operations process and how to continuously plan, prepare, execute and access missions IOT develop themselves and others while exercising disciplined initiative.

•Key Tasks:

•Develop written OPORDS for major training events.

•Plan major training events quarterly that validate a deployment readiness exercise, increase units proficiency on shoot, move, communicate and survive and encompasses all phases of the operation.

•Execute Rehearsal of Concept drill to ensure a shared understanding the organization

•Conduct Troop Leading Procedures to enhance the operations process

•Restructure organizational structure to enable operational reach and enhance junior leader professional development

•End State:

Increase shared understanding throughout the organization through Troop Leading Procedures and Rehearsal of Concept drills. Unit training events support individual, squad and company level battle drills to Shoot, Move, Communicate, and Survive in an Austere environment. Unit stands postured to operate at critical transportation nodes.
