SYMBOLS OF THE GEEK NATION
SYMBOLS OF THE GEEK NATION
FLAG:
Rectangular in shape, with an 8:13 ratio and a black background. It includes a green circle and the schematic representation of a Rubik's cube in isometric perspective with the colors blue, yellow and red from left to right of the cube.
If the flag is divided into squares in the traditional way in which a golden spiral is drawn, the side of the squares being the first numbers of the Fibonacci sequence, the green circle would be inscribed in the initial square of side one, and the cube Rubik's centered within the last square, side eight.
The symbolism of the flag seeks to schematically represent a simple and recognizable geek symbol, such as the classic 3x3x3 Rubik's cube, using the primary colors. Incorporating a perfect green circle, also a very basic color, both elements are placed in such a way that it includes a hidden mathematical background and of course, using the golden ratio.
COAT OF ARMS and MOTTO:
Composed of two heraldic lions in gold, holding a round-bottomed square shield with a black background, containing the same symbols as the flag, the Rubik's cube in the lower part and the green circle centered in the upper part.
In a lower band it includes the slogan "42" on the left side and the legend "don't panic" on the right, referring to the science fiction work "Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy" by Douglas Adams. In addition, 42 points are included in the band itself, 21 on each side.
The legend "don't panic" is just a tip, while "42", not including the quoted legend, is the motto of the Geek Nation, since when it was considered what the motto of this nation should be it was understood that it was not there is a better motto than the meaning of life, the universe and everything else ...
ANTHEM:
The Geek Nation anthem is "Sarabanda" by Georg Friedrich Händel, which is a movement of the suite in D minor H.437. There are several versions of different duration depending on the act or moment in which it must be used. There is currently a project to write it and any citizen can participate by sending their letter to the official email of the Geek Nation (42geeknation@gmail.com). The letter can be in any of the four official languages, although the ideal is to incorporate parts in each of them.
GEEK GUARD COAT OF ARMS:
The coat of arms of the Geek Guard is composed of the symbols of the nation's flag superimposed on a crossed sword and lightsaber, representing the military spirit of this institution. In addition, simulating the guard of the lightsaber, a magic wand is added, looking for the symmetry of the image.
The act of using a sword, a lightsaber and a magic wand seeks to represent the fondness for fantasy of the citizens of the Geek Nation, as well as the struggle of the members of the Guard for the defense of geek culture. In a more concrete sense, it represents the main hobbies of the Lord Commander of the Geek Guard (LOTR, GOT, SW and HP), who was the one who designed this coat of arms.
RANDI HOUSE:
"House Randi" is the name of the family consisting of Ani and Rd, the Khaleesi and the Lord Commander of the Geek Nation. This name is long before the creation of the Geek Nation, being used approximately from the end of the first decade of the XXI century, although at the beginning the term "team" was used instead of "house".
The upper image is the heraldic shield of House Randi, and the lower part shows the shield in its reduced format and the family seal. These are not symbols of the Geek Nation as such, but they are frequent in the acts or documents related to the Khaleesi and her consort.
The coat of arms of the Randi House is made up of the coats of arms of the Principality of Asturias and the Kingdom of Belgium, crowned by a band with the flag of the Kingdom of Spain inside which the motto of Belgium (and of the Randi House) "L ' union fait la force ", all superimposed on a" senyera "placed in a vertical position. The "senyera" is the flag of the old Kingdom of Aragon and is very present throughout the Spanish Levant, such as in the Valencian Community, where Onil is located, residence of the members of the Randi House and Capital of the Geek Nation .
