GEEK NATION INFORMATION

The Geek Nation is constituted as a virtual nation, existing in the imagination of its citizens, being a way to make a global community, giving a national identity to a big group of people around the world, granting them a flag and a series of common symbols.

The Geek Nation project begins in 2021 in Onil (Spain). It begins with the idea of ​​create a micronation, merely for fun, and leads to the creation of an imaginary macronation worldwide aimed at promoting geek culture.

Access to citizenship in the Geek Nation, which is completely free and voluntary, gives its citizens not only a common nationality, but an identity document and the possibility of acquiring a cavalry title, becoming part of the Geek Guard.

The basic data of the Geek Nation are:

• Basic idea of ​​the nation: Create a community of intellectually free people, not being concerned about complying with banal social norms but enjoying doing what they like and being happy.

• Official Languages: Spanish, English, French and Quenya Elvish are official in the Geek Nation. The Elvish according to the rules given by Master Tolkien in the appendices of the Lord of the Rings).

• Flag: Rectangular in shape, with an 8:13 ratio and a black background. It includes a green circle and the schematic representation of a Rubik's cube in isometric perspective with the colors blue, yellow and red from left to right of the cube. • Coat of arms: Composed of two heraldic lions in gold, holding a square shield with a rounded base with a black background, containing the same symbols as the flag, the Rubik's cube in the lower part and the green circle centered in the upper part. • Religion: The Geek Nation is non-denominational, its has no official religion, allowing its citizens full religious freedom. Some frequent beliefs among its citizens are Jediism (who believe in "the Force"), Lovecraftian Cosmicism, "Lecherismo ilustrado" or Pastafarianism.

• Form of the State: If necessary, a direct digital democracy would be formed.- Being an imaginary nation that in principle, or at least for the moment, does not need laws, the form of the state is irrelevant, but it is sincerely recognized that today it is an oligarchy that considers itself well-intentioned and at least minimally enlightened. Who decides everything is the Lord Commander of the Geek Guard, Rd Randi, founding father of this noble nation, but always subordinate to our Khaleesi, Ani, of House Randi, first citizen and who has the power to veto any decision. Despite the above, both rulers impose on themselves the moral obligation to, if necessary, create the necessary institutions to form a direct democracy that uses digital media, preserving the figure of the Khaleesi as a representative figure of the nation, and the Lord Commander as leader of the Geek Guard, but handing over to the citizens the legislative, executive and judicial powers, seeking to create a real democracy using digital media, so that the legislative power is exercised directly by the citizens themselves, and the executive and judicial powers will be through officials, public employees.

• Capital: The world capital of the Geek Nation is Onil, a town located in the province of Alicante, within the Valencian Community, belonging to the Kingdom of Spain. Onil is where the members of the "House Randi" reside, the family to which the rulers of this nation belong.
