The filter is behind a grille on the front wall of the kitchen/dining area.
There is a smoke detector on the ceiling of each bedroom and the hall, and a carbon monoxide detector on the wall of the hall.

You will need to run an internal cleaning cycle on the LG washing machine every six months: it is simply a matter of selecting it from the washer dial and starting the cycle. Using a cleaning product while you run the cycle is optional. Click this link and select the "Front Load Washer" option for more information.
A Duke Energy power manager is installed on the electric cable which supplies the outside portion of the air conditioner. This allows Duke Energy the ability to temporarily shut off the air conditioner at times of high electricity demand. In exchange for this a credit is offered on your power bill. I am not familiar with this program, but believe you need to enroll to activate it. Please call Duke Energy (888 463-5022) for more information.
There is a cable (TV, internet) outlet in the wall of the living room.
The hall bath toilet has a dual flush mechanism, allowing selection of more water for solid waste, and less water for liquid.
The foil-like material under the rafters in the attic is a radiant heat barrier. It reflects the sun's heat back out through the roof, keeping the attic and house cooler. Please do not disturb.
Sun room: Please do not store any gasoline-powered devices, eg., lawn mower, motorcycle, inside. To clean the floor tiles please use a broom, vacuum, and/or mop, and not a hose (as there is no drain). Unfortunately, no key is available for the sliding glass door locks.
