It doesn't take super complex drills or over-exaggerated actions to have a good practice. Most of our drills can be modified to apply to what you need to work on that day. Be creative and read the room!
Along with simplicity and creativity, goes our purpose when it comes to planning a workout. We want to constantly challenge our athletes to get uncomfortable in their development. We don't want practice to be easy, nor do we want it to be impossible. Continue to find that middle ground where develpoment spikes.
A practice plan does no good if there's no real urgency when the practice starts. Organize your practice with a purpose and emphasize the need for a locked in approach throughout the workout.
The athletes won't care about the little details if their coaches don't either. Decide 2-3 small skills that are important and be relentless in your application and coaching. The better the athletes are at the fine details, the better our teams will be overall.
